Cultural School
Epworth UMC Cultural School Mission Statement:
To strengthen and broaden the Epworth UMC community by offering classes on contemporary and traditional Japanese culture to the general public.
Key points:
- Everyone is welcome to attend classes. You do not have to be a member of the church to participate in a class.
- Classes change every month. To date, we have offered classes on cooking, calligraphy, paper crafts, holiday traditions and tea ceremony. We plan to feature more cooking classes, anime & manga, flower arranging and more in the coming months. It’s easy and inexpensive to participate. Just e-mail or call us to sign up.
- Classes cost $2 per person or $5 per family. Fees can be waved on a need basis.
- Classes are advertised primarily by e-mail. Join the mailing list and you will receive one or two e-mail announcements per month.
To learn more about our program, ask a question or sign up to receive the monthly class announcement, please send an e-mail to Cultural School Administrator Michael Walcott or call 971-235-2478
